With Halloween right around the corner, our team here at Carville’s Auto Mart wanted to put together a list of events and activities for everyone to enjoy here in Grand Junction. There’s nothing worse than being out of the loop, which is why you should always stay tuned to our blog for the latest local information.
There’s a lot more to Fall than Halloween. This time of year is all about the harvest, and if you’re into that sort of thing, then it’s probably one of the best times of the year. Our team here at Carville’s Auto Mart put together a list of the top three best pumpkin patches within an hour driving distance of Grand Junction for an afternoon of fun with the family.
Trick or Treat Street & Carnival
Friday, October 28 – Downtown Palisade on Main Street
Just 20 minutes outside of Grand Junction there will be the 6th Annual Trick or Treat Street and Halloween Carnival in downtown Palisade. The events start at 4 p.m. with a Touch-a-Truck event going until 6 p.m. A pet costume parade is to follow starting at 5:30 p.m. The night will end with a Halloween carnival from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Palisade Gym, which is located at 341 West 7th Street. Truck-N-Treat
Saturday, October 29 – Civic Center Park in Fruita
If you’re headed in the opposite direction, Fruita is located just 20 minutes outside of Grand Junction as well. Those looking for a safe trick-or-treating alternative for their children may be interested in the Truck-N-Treat event at Civic Center Park in Fruita. The kids can explore fire trucks, dump trucks, police cars and much more as they wear their costumes and collect candy. Best part is the event is free. More information can be found here.
Canine Spooktacular
Saturday, October 29 – Center for Independence
For those of you looking to get your dog in on the fun, this is the perfect event for you. It’s right here in Grand Junction at the Center for Independence from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and it is essentially a costume contest for you and your pup. There will be prizes for Best Canine Trick, Best Canine/Human Costume Pair, Scariest Canine Costume and Funniest Canine Costume. It’s $15 to enter the contest, and more information is available here.
