Friends and neighbors of Grand Junction rejoice; today’s the first day of spring! We made it through another winter season, and to celebrate we know you’re all excited to give your vehicles a good cleaning. Today we’ll be taking you through some helpful spring cleaning tips for your used vehicle; check them out!
Give your used car a good washing
Snow, ice and sleet can wreak havoc on your vehicle’s aesthetics, but now that the weather’s clearing up it’s a prime time to get your car cleaned and polished. Whether you opt for an automatic car wash or do-it-yourself project, rolling down the street in a shiny and clean car is the added boost we all need.
Air out your interior
Spring is a time for starting new, and that translates to your vehicle’s interior as well. Now that the weather is getting nice it’s as good a time as ever to air it out. Open your doors and keep them open for about half an hour to 45 minutes to let clean air circulate. Some cool new air fresheners and a thorough vacuuming won’t hurt either!
Remove excess weight
For any number of reasons you might have some belongings in your used car that don’t need to be there, be them old clothes or anything else. Bring all that excess weight inside with you and you’ll feel your car’s performance start to change for good; this can also help with fuel efficiency!
Check for debris everywhere
When you’re driving in winter, vulnerable places such as under your hood or wheel wells can be a home for debris, such as rocks, leaves and salt. Take the time to clear these all out and you won’t just feel the difference in the looks department; you could also prevent some problems down the road!
