And our list of attractions and things to do in the Grand Junction, Delta and Rifle CO area is hopefully a starting-off point for your next adventure with family or friends.

Attractions in the Grand Junction Rifle Delta CO Area
Colorado River State Park
- Where: There are five sections in all, and they’re located in the southeast portion of Grand Junction – Island Acres, Corn Lake, Colorado River Wildlife Area, Connected Lakes and Fruita. Click event link for maps and directions.
- Details: Camping, park activities, and plenty of attractions like Dinosaur Diamond and the Museum of Western Colorado await.
Rifle Falls
- Where: 5775 Highway 325, Rifle.
- Details: Both walk-in and drive-in campsites are available at this scenic site, with a triple waterfall and limestone caves. Also nearby are the Vega State Park, Harvey Gap State Park and the Rifle Creek Golf Course.
Adobe Badlands
- Where: About three miles northwest of Delta and 1.5 miles north of Highway 50.
- Details: Get your exercise fix with hiking, backpacking or horseback riding in the Adobe Badlands, a series of canyons with an elevation of around a mile above sea level or higher.
Two Rivers Winery
- Where: 2087 Broadway, Grand Junction.
- Details: Beat the summer heat with a wine tasting at the Two Rivers Winery. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Grand Junction-Area Entertainment Options
Kansas Concert
- When: 7:30 p.m., July 28.
- Where: Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St., Grand Junction.
- Details: Tickets start at $34 for these titans of classic rock, with major hits like “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry on Wayward Son” among their tasty tracks.
Journey & The Doobie Brothers Concert
- When: 7 p.m., August 20.
- Where: Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Circle, Denver.
- Details: If you’re from the Grand Junction area, then heading to Denver for this will require a bit more of a “journey,” but if you like catchy rock from the 1970s and 1980s, then this will make your summer complete. Journey’s hit include “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Wheel in the Sky”; Doobie Brothers can boast of hits like “Black Water” and “Takin’ It to the Streets.” Tickets start at $39.50.
