Get your vehicle ready for spring with us!

What car parts should you be replacing for spring weather?

With the changing of the seasons comes a sense of new beginnings, with the clouds and (sometimes) dreariness of winter weather finally breaking up in preparation for spring. As everything begins to bloom again, we want to help you get your car ready for those fantastic new adventures. Many of you have probably asked yourself, “What car parts should you be replacing for spring weather?” We’ll take you through a rundown of the most essential components today!

New Set of Tires

Now that the snow has finally subsided, there’s really no use for winter tires anymore; though they’re great for slicing through hazardous road conditions, on clear paths they can reduce your efficiency and overall performance. Some fresh new treads will do wonders to help you take maximum advantage of the road.

Engine and Drivetrain Fluids

Cold, freezing temperatures can really do a number on the fluids that make up your engine and drivetrain, such as oil, transmission fluids, coolant and all others. For this reason, you’ll want to make it a point to get fresh supplies added to your motor. This way, you’ll be shifting smoother and turning with more authority.

Battery Components

Along the same vein as your engine fluids, your car battery can weaken with freezing temperatures. You’ll want to get a new one installed if it’s time to do so, as well as other components of your ignition, such as starters and alternators. New parts will help you to get fired up and rolling more easily!

Install New Wiper Blades

Ice tends to cause damage to your windshield wiper blades, leaving them prone to streaking or simply just not working at all. To get ready for the new wave of rain, and just to get your windshield spotless when you drive, it’s a good idea to swap out your old wiper blades for a fresh pair!
