Next, you should make it a point to exchange insurance and identity information with the driver your vehicle collided with. Even if the damage is not severe, it’s still proper protocol to understand what’s going on. It’s at this point that you and the other driver can figure out what happened.

File A Claim
Nobody likes doing this, but if the damage is irreversible or substantial enough, you should file a claim with your insurance company.
