Why I should have a 90,000 mile maintenance check?

Why you should have your vehicle’s 90,000 mile service check

No matter how new or old your vehicle is, you should always keep an eye on your maintenance to ensure the health and longevity of the machine. Although it could be put off a little bit, it is best not to risk potential damages, especially if it could have been easily avoided. Read more to learn why and what the cost could be if you don’t get your 90,000 mile check.

Manufacturers suggest having the vehicle serviced at 30/60/90k miles. At Carville’s Auto Mart, we suggest to go to specialty dealership because they’ll know what to look for on certain vehicles. The average cost usually lands between $235 and $342 but can be higher if you have a hybrid or specialty vehicle. Labor costs can range from $167 and $211.

What could happen if you don’t get your 90,000 mile maintenance check?

Not having your maintenance up to date could end up costing you a lot in the long run. Some examples of what lack of maintenance could cause are, increase internal friction and disruption of the crankcase ventilation, poorer braking, and difficulty keeping the vehicle on a straight course. It could go as bad as affecting your engine and having to replace that. One thing some people do not know about is the timing belt or chain. If it breaks, the best case scenario is it could stop the engine, the worst is that it causes a piston to collide with an open valve and cause some serious, expensive damage.  Other effects could lead to decreased fuel efficiency.

  • Automotive experts say the key to keeping the speed machine performing well is routine maintenance. Yet many motorists tend to stall when it comes following the daily auto-basics. Factory maintenance schedule- https://www.keithcoxautobahn.com/services/ is commonly divided into three parts- 1)Service at 30K miles, 2)Service at 60K miles, & 3)Service at 90K miles. According to the rule of thumb, the higher the mileage on the speedster, the more likely components will need to be replaced. The timing belt is mostly replaced at 90K-100K miles.
